My Favorites» Oscar Peterson's improvisation on "Moanin'" (Part.1)

During the jazz history, lots of musicians played/recorded the jazz standard "Moanin'" (composed by Bobby Timmons), but Oscar Peterson's performance here is really notable I think.

The preview below is from the album "Oscar Peterson - Exclusively for My Friends: The Lost Tapes (MPS, 1995)"Oscar Peterson on piano, Sam Jones on bass and Bob Durham on drums; recorded on November 12, 1967. This is a good example which shows great Oscar Peterson's improvisation abilities and uncompareable pianistic powers.
